What is the Product Match SiteTag?
The SiteTag is a simple "One-Tag" Joint Venture setup connecting your webshop automatically as a reseller in content and brand campaigns, when the brands you sell are advertising in your local country or region.
The success of your campaigns are measured on how popular your products are in every single product category.
When your Product-Relevance and conversion rates are high in any product category, you will be ranked as the number #1 webshop in all campaigns.
Similarly to the quality, popularity and conversion rating of your webshop, we are ranking all content and traffic.
To make sure that content, publishers or traffic don't affect your webshop ranking and Product-Relevance, we are qualifying all clicks against successful visits on your site.
To measure your Product-Relevance and Conversion Rates, the simple SiteTag works well with your conversion tracking.
If you're not using a third party to manage conversion tracking, you'll get an eCommerce Tracking Platform for free to collect order data & track sales.
The Joint Venture Brand Campaigns are a One-Tag Setup, plug and play campaign.
The SiteTag is connecting your webshop as a reseller to the brands you sell in all their global campaigns, when your best selling brands are advertising locally in your country or region.
From Outdoor, national TV campaigns and local print advertising to product ownership and offline campaigns in local retail outlets, your online webshop can be included as a joint venture partner in the campaigns with just adding the Product Match SiteTag.
Your SiteTag is making sure that your products are presented to relevant users at the right time to increase your conversion rates and sales, when people are shopping.
When we advertise your business to consumers around the world, we're working with thousands of local Publishers, Magazines and WhiteLabels & Branded Client Magazines.
To identify and Product-Relevance traffic from publishers, and to give the appropriate credit and compensation from publishers, and other retailers for sending traffic, without asking you as an advertiser to implement new tags for every publisher or retailer, you'll see a universal code that communicates with our servers to validate traffic. The SiteTag automatically identifies the right publishers who should receive compensation for the sales generated.
Similar to adding a unique tag from Instagram to make your campaigns work with their platform, or custom tags from your retargeting provider to run your retargeting campaigns, the Product Match SiteTag does all the magic with predicting when to include you in highly targeted content campaigns when people are shopping, making sure that your webshop or brand are placed when people are shopping the products you have in stock.
The SiteTag is used to verify the amount of successful clicks we are sending to your webshop, from all the campaigns your brand or webshop are included in.
To decide when, and if your webshop can be included in campaigns, our system calculates EPC's and Product-Relevance Score across all categories and products, giving your webshop a unique score related to each product.
If you are very good at selling shampoo, but have poor conversion on hair dryers, you'll get more readers sent when they are ready to buy shampoo, but not when the user want to shop a hair dryer, unless you're re-qualified with a higher ranking on that category than the other approved webshops or brands in this category.
From your product feed, or a manual products list - we import all available products into our platform. Next, the campaign team add your webshop to all relevant product categories, and matching campaigns.
To protect users and readers from bad experiences with webshops that have no relevance, or webshops giving poor user experiences, the following Product-Relevance scoring are running in real-time.
This is one of the key reasons why you'll see great results, more sales and better conversion rates than most other campaigns when you are added to the joint venture platform.
Every time a new campaign is launched including content or reviews about “Hair Dryer" you'll automatically be added if your Product-Relevance Score in the product category allows it.
Every time a reader visits one of the campaign sites, the system looks up all advertisers associated with the product category “Hair Dryer" to insert the top 3-5 brands and webshops with the best Product-Relevance Score.
The SiteTag is used to optimize your ranking in the list of webshops added to all campaigns, and to decide if your webshop can continue to be included, and what categories where it will be best to include your webshop to the audience receiving the guide, content or brand campaign.
The Product Match Site Tag decides what campaigns and product categories your webshop will be added to, and what placement you'll get according to the Product-Relevance Score you have or get for every single product or brand you sell.
Evaluation parameters and Product-Relevance Score measures are based on Popularity, Click-Through rates, conversion rates and EPC in each product category.
Do people click and buy when your webshop is presented to the readers?
In the beginning, you'll be included in all product categories, testing the Click-Through rate from campaigns when your webshop is added to the campaigns.
If people click out to your webshop on campaigns with "Hair Masks" and you have a high click out rate here, you'll get a good Product-Relevance Score on popularity in this product category. If only a few people are clicking at your webshop link in the category "toning shampoo", you'll get a low Product-Relevance Score on popularity.
If the Product-Relevance Score measures are too low, your webshop is removed from the "shampoo" categories.
To measure successful Click-Throughs and allocate royalties to the appropriate publishers, we evaluate how many successful clicks are delivered.
The measurements and royalties are based on how many clicks are delivered which then results in successful visitors on your website and in the webshop.
If people can't reach your site or your webshop is too slow when we are sending traffic, it will have an effect on your Product-Relevance Score and you'll be removed from all campaigns.
Do people actually show up in your store or webshop?
When the conversion tracking is in place via your Google Analytics or the conversion tracking received, we can get the sales numbers in real time or every month.
Normally we are sending a tracking script to the confirmation page where you provide us with data about purchases, like order numbers, order values etc.
In some cases, we don't need the complicated conversion tracking implementation, and can launch your campaign with just simple Product March SiteTag to verify successful click throughs in real time and then import your Google Analytics reports you send.
Every month, the amount of transactions are held up against successful Click-Throughs to evaluate conversion rates and the Product-Relevance Score of your webshop.
The final elements of your Product-Relevance Score are based on the ongoing EPC in each product category.
This Product-Relevance Score is calculated from successful clicks of the amount of customers we are sending to your website. The SiteTag is used to measure the successful amount of visitors. This number is then held up against the reports of commission we get from you, TraceAd or the Google Analytics.
Every month when the commission is added to our system, the EPC calculations are affected in your overall Product-Relevance Score of your webshop.
Everything is measured automatically, using all parameters to make sure readers are presented with relevant brands and webshops.
Low conversion rates with webshops are included in the ongoing calculations, and often means the user experience is low.
Product-Relevance Score rankings are used to make the customers we are sending have a good experience with the webshops we present for them.
If you don’t have Google Analytics ready for sending reports, ask your Account Manager to be connected with our analytics team to help you set it up.

To identify and qualify traffic from publishers, and to give the appropriate credit and compensation from publishers and other retailers for sending traffic without asking you as an advertiser to implement new tags for every publisher or retailer, you'll see a universal code that communicates with our servers to validate traffic.
